Love and Rockets collection

Love and Rockets are one of my favorite comics of all time. They were the first comics I ever started reading. Their written by Jamie and Gilbert Hernandez, I mostly like the ones by Jamie. Jamie's "Locas" stories are about Hopey, Maggie, Penny Century, Izzy (their the ones pictured) and lots of others, but the stories mostly happen around Maggie and Hopey. The original stories are from the early eighties and and reflects the mexican punk scene although it mostly takes place in the fictional south californian town Hoppers or Huerta. The characters are mostly female and and a lot of them lesbian or sexually ambiguous. The series was revived in 2001 and the characters have grown and changed immensely and appropriately, since the eighties. There is also a ongoing sixties space theme in the stories that I love but mostly in the early ones. Other ongoing themes are women's professional wrestling, heavy girls, superheroes, strippers, mechanics. It's aslo an incredibly well drawn line and ink artwork. Favorite non-central characters are "Daffy" the blond asian punk, later in life a doctor, Negra Costigan (H.R Costigans daughter) and Doyle, a friend of Hopey's brother...I could go on. I honestly can't describe how much I love these comics, but there you go.

Eric Burdon And The Animals

The Animals, dubbed the animals becuse of their
wild stage performances.

The Animals are the most underrated band of all time. They were part of the "British invasion" along with The Beatles and others, but originally from Newcastle. Lead singer Eric Burdon is my favorite singer of all time, he's still touring. Their most famous songs are songs like "house of the rising sun" and "don't let me be misunderstood", but the most famous ones are not my favorite at all.On account of how incredibly good they were they should be right up there with The rolling Stones and The Who and other British "invaders" in the '60s, but it's like nobody remembers them or "The Kinks" ether, who were also an excellent band. The Animals eventually broke up, and like most rockstars of that time they had somehow been robbed of all their money by their manager.

Hendrix died when he did his last performance.

South-Korea

2NE1

I have an unexplainable obsession with South Korea and South Korean pop music, witch is odd because I usually don't really like that kind of light-pop music. I obviously don't like "all" korean pop music, god forbid (SNSD and Wondergirls may possibly be the worst thing thats ever happened in the world), but the YG artist such as Big Bang and 2NE1 I like. These are all Idol groups though, that is sponsored by a company that recruited the performers and trained them to be popstars (creepy). From what I've learned they don't even get paid that much, they definitely don't get rich from it. But these idol-groups seem to be a very big thing over there.
